The salvation of man is an initiative from God, because God demands the salvation of man. The way of salvation in the Old Testament was provided through sacrifice. The image of the sacrifice helps believers understand that Christ would die, and His death and the shedding of His blood would be the sacrifice of salvation for the sins of the whole world. there is a mistaken understanding that salvation in the Old Testament was not based on God's grace and faith response, but was based on keeping the law. This paper will delve deeper into salvation in the Old and New Testaments.
