Seruan Pertobatan Menurut Yoel 2:12-17: Karakteristik Allah Pemurah dan Penyayang

Abstract

The book of Joel is one of the minor prophetic books that contributed to the writings of the New Testament. A book that contains the prophet's call for God's people to repent of their sins. Several studies have focused on anthropological aspects, namely the focus on calling for repentance from a human perspective. This research explores the meaning of the call to repentance from God's perspective. It must be understood that the purpose of giving prophecies and calling for repentance is God's will so that his people are free from punishment. Excavation of the text through observations in Hebrew was carried out to find the theological meaning of the prophet's call to repentance. As a result, God wants repentance not only on an individual basis, but also communally as a nation chosen by God himself.
