Kajian Teologis Pemahaman Tentang Allah yang Hidup Menurut Yeremia 10:1-16 sebagai Model untuk Menghindari Penyembahan Berhala

Abstract

The book of Jeremiah is one of the books of the prophets which talks a lot about changing attitudes towards the true God, and Jeremiah is the person who was called by God to express God's voice in the midst of a decline in morals and faith. There is an interesting thing here, namely that a jealous God does not want to be second- guessed, so God speaks through Jeremiah as a form of accusation, punishment, guidance and consequences that the Israelites can experience. Jeremiah struggled with God but also the people of Israel. The text that we want to study in this article is chapter 10:1-16, Jeremiah's prophecy about the worship of idols and comparisons in the form of satirical expressions and hymns. Then in this text we can also see confirmation of the theological teaching conveyed by Jeremiah about the living God, in What this writing wants to find is in accordance with this text which talks about the worship of the living God (verse 10). So the author wants to find out whether there is a relationship regarding the correct understanding of God that can prevent someone from worshiping idols? In this research, it was found that there is a close relationship between the correct attitude of worshiping the living God and preventing falling into idolatry.
